Privacy Policy
Effective date: May 20, 2026
This Privacy Policy describes how Sourcery ("we", "our", or "the application") collects, uses, and handles information in connection with your use of the Sourcery platform, including its Bloodhound, Catalist, and Watchtower modules.
1. Who We Are
Sourcery is a private reselling operations platform developed and operated for the personal business use of its owner. It is not a public-facing SaaS product. Contact: jneldon1979@gmail.com
2. Information We Collect
Sourcery collects and stores the following types of data:
- Auction and listing data — publicly available lot information scraped from auction websites for the purpose of sourcing analysis.
- eBay sold-listing data — pricing and sales history retrieved via the eBay Marketplace Insights API for competitive pricing research.
- Amazon product data — pricing and sales rank data retrieved via the Amazon Product Advertising API and Keepa.
- eBay account data — listing, order, and financial data retrieved from the authenticated user's own eBay seller account via the eBay Sell and Finances APIs.
- Inventory and transaction records — purchase prices, sale prices, fees, and related business records entered or synced by the user.
- Photos — product photographs uploaded by the user for listing creation. Photos are stored locally and processed on-device.
3. How We Use eBay API Data
Sourcery accesses the eBay Developer Platform APIs under the eBay Developer Program terms of service. Data retrieved from eBay APIs is used exclusively for:
- Generating pricing comps and profitability estimates for sourcing decisions
- Optimizing listing titles using sold-listing keyword data
- Creating and publishing listings to the operator's own eBay seller account
- Syncing sales, orders, and payout data for inventory and P&L tracking
eBay data is not sold, redistributed, shared with third parties, or used for any purpose beyond the above. Data is retained only for as long as needed for the operator's business records.
4. Third-Party Services
Sourcery integrates with the following third-party services:
- eBay Developer Platform — listing, pricing, and account data
- Amazon Product Advertising API / Keepa — product pricing data
- Anthropic Claude API — AI-powered item identification from photos
- CH Robinson API — LTL freight rate estimation
Each of these services is subject to its own privacy policy and terms of service. Sourcery does not share user data with these services beyond what is necessary to fulfill the function of each integration.
5. Data Storage and Security
All application data is stored locally on the operator's own hardware in a SQLite database. No data is uploaded to cloud storage or shared servers. Access to the application is restricted to the operator's local network.
6. No Third-Party Data Sharing
Sourcery does not sell, rent, or share any data — including eBay API data — with any third party for marketing, analytics, or any other purpose.
7. Changes to This Policy
We may update this policy as the platform evolves. Material changes will be reflected by an updated effective date at the top of this page.
